My ancestors shaped humankind through culture and commerce. Whether or not they had awareness of their role, they were stewards of humanity in mankind. They pioneered freedom of expression. It resulted in a rich arsenal of visual treasures spanning generations beyond their conception. Quite literally, the stuff of legends.
They were proponents of exchanges between people that would allow them to do well in their chosen livelihoods. This intention generated the most used mode of exchange of all time, banking.
The golden thread amongst all of the Medici endeavors triggered a series of chains of reactions that transcends time and space. They are all marked with beauty, generosity and grace.
Beyond the Renaissance
MEDICI TODAY
Walking in my shoes as a Medici, I live what has always been taught; be in the present. It is a balancing act of paying attention to what is happening in the present while also actively preparing for the future.
Today, I carve a future as my own. One that takes pride in multidimensionality of all humans. I am both an artist and a business advisor. I am both a humanitarian, and still work and live amongst the everyday man. The expression of everything we are capable of is the true activation of the Medici legacy.
